Aashaya Resort located in the village of Jasri, 15 mins north of Candi Desa, it's out of this world!
8/07/14Aashaya Resort was originally a Guest House and was taken over in 2013 by an experienced and resourceful couple that have spent several months of upgrade and restoration. The end result is truly Bali Style and ready to go! What’s good to see is the use of natural products, be it building materials, textiles, furniture, interior furnishings all made locally in Bali.
It’s a rustic style resort with an ocean frontage and a view to the sea, the location is surperb! lovely gardens with plenty of trees and wide lawns, a pool, a Spa (am sure Sensatia Botanicals will be in use here) and a restaurant named Disini that will serve tasty food three times a day (the owner is an excellent cook who will obviously pass on her skills to eager staff) Outside guests are also most welcome to enjoy Disini too. To sit beside the pool or laze in chairs on the lawn at the end of a day will be a forever memory, enjoying sundowners, a G & T or a cup of tea.
Imagine four poster beds, crisp sheets, accents of Batik cottons in cushions and throws. Soft lighting, air-con, bottled aqua and the rest, it’s all laid out for you! no thinking, just relax! The staff are well trained, genuine, friendly people that are pleased to be of assistance and always with a smile.
There are five traditional villas to choose from, you can rent a small villa for oneself or a couple, a few to accommodate a family or book the entire property that will take 19 guests.
The resort is ideal for a group booking - a birthday celebration, a small wedding, perhaps there is a group of like minded folk wishing to book in for a retreat, or perhaps you just want to hibernate and chill, a getaway from the hurly burly of the South.
The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, the air is super fresh, the surrounds are green and you will sleep like a baby, lulled every night to the sound of water lapping over rocks at the end of the road.
During the day you can read, swim, chill and for those that wish to walk there are some lovely treks around the area, with a visit to Sensatia Botanicals of course! And, there’s a very nice beach a kilometer away, what about a drive to Candi Desa (15 mins south) a trip further north to Amed for a spot of diving? Consider a day’s visit to the now bustling township of Ubud, or simply a drive around the countryside that is picture postcard perfect. However, maybe you yearn for a complete rest and be happy to stay at the Aashaya Resort that offers total tranquility, stay for the duration for your weekend break, a happy vacation or celebrate together with friends and family!
